About the Farmers

Mike is a creative thinker who loves an impossible task. He lives for conquering big challenges by identifying opportunities for innovation within any project. He lives for streamlining systems that save time and labor, and lead to manageable and effective outcomes. He builds and repairs boats and dreams of leisurely days paddling remote rivers with his children before his hands are too crippled by arthritis to hold a paddle.
Erlene is the loving mother of twin daughters, several geriatric dogs, needy cats, and orphaned creatures. She loves old books, Irish music, front porches, and as-of-yet, unbuilt picket fences.
Despite having had no prior knowledge of, or desire to farm, Erlene has managed to keep pace while incorporating as many organizational binders and spreadsheets as possible to the chaos that is Mike’s record keeping. She comes from a long line of flower lover gardeners who believe everyone should be too.

Together they have a blended family of 6 beautiful and creative children. They enjoy dragging them to “boring” places, hearing them say “are we there yet?”, listening to Harry Potter, and making them transplant til they look and smell like creatures of the dirt.
